Photograph taken for a story in the Oklahoma Times newspaper. Caption: "Thomas Stowell, surgeon and respected British author, hints that Edward, Duke of Clarence, once heir to the British throne, was "Jack the Ripper," mysterious man who killed at least five and perhaps 20 prostitutes in 19th century London. The Duke wore a military uniform and posed with hand on sword for this portrait in the early 1880's."
