The Sassienie Family was a respectable, hard-working family who came to London, England from Amsterdam, Holland in the mid 1800's and resided in the Whitechapel and Spitalfields Districts. This family was blended into the Shine Family through marriage (Nathan Shine became the father-in-law of Jacob/Jack Sassienie) and both families held fast to the veracity of Nathan Shine's claim that he witnessed "Jack the Ripper" over Stride's body in Dutfield's Yard, immediately after the Ripper had slit her throat.
Here is a wealth of information on the Sassienie family, including their work history and lifestyle in the East End of London.

THERE are several different versions of the family surname in this
family tree. The name Sasine, Sasiene, Sasienie, sass, Sassiene, Sassieni,
& Sassienie are variants of the origininal surname Sasieni within our
family group. The tree includes eleven generations (2010) of the Sasieni family
originating from Holland.

THE first family member on record is Jacob Salomon and he was married to Matje
Mozes
born in the year 1750 Amsterdam Holland. Each heredity Sassienie,
whatever their surname has a direct ancestry to Jacob Salomon and Matje Mozes.
There is no birth date record for Jacob, but do know that he died in Amsterdam
Holland on the 4th January 1800. Jacob had a son born in the year 1796
Amsterdam Holland . His name was Woolf Jacob Sasieni, the first Sasieni on
record. After Woolf the family tree has four branches.
