Doeology v Genealogy
Some people think finding a Jane Doe is a simple case of genealogy. You just find some information on them or their relatives and just look her up in the records. But that’s not always the case.
Doeology is not the same as genealogy. We have at least 3 Doe cases where the familial DNA is in and we have close cousin matches in two of them for sure. But the person has not been IDed. The 3 cases involve Americans so you can’t say the records are incomplete or were destroyed as say Irish records.
Something is going on. This is classic Doeology.
