Here we go again! Another post office robbery on Sept. 30 - the date of Stride and Eddowes' murders. Could certain letters have been involved in the Ripper case? Or were these burglaries merely diversions in order for the murders to be committed with greater ease?

During the night of the two murders in Whitechapel a burglary was committed at the post-office in High-street, Aldgate, which is only a few yards from the scene of the Mitre-square murder. It appears that access to the office was gained through the trap door on the roof. The safe in the office was found to have been forced, and money and stamps to the value of about 300 pounds had been taken.
