Deserter Named M'Grath
A deserter from the Munster Fusiliers, named M'Grath, whilst being conveyed by train to Limerick, under police escort, jumped through the carriage window whilst the train was in motion, and, being thrown violently to the ground, had his leg broken. Immediately after desertion M'Grath was arrested, but managed to escape from a corporal and a private, who were escorting him to headquarters. The latter were, in consequence tried by courtmartial, and the corporal sentenced to two months' imprisonment and reduced to the ranks, while the private was discharged.
