FOREIGN NOTES.

TUNIS, says the Telegraph, is undergoing many exciting sensations just now. A few days ago the arrest of the veritable "Jack the Ripper" was announced in the capital of the regency, and created no little excitement. Now the Italian Jews are in a state of anxiety and alarm. They awoke to find an ominous little poster affixed to their doors, on which was printed a "red cross," with the words "Death to the Jews!" below. Why the Italian Jews should have been singled out from among their co-religionists for this ghastly threat is still a mystery, nor does there seem to be any clue as to the authors of it.
