Missing Relics From the British Museum
The Times understands that the whole, or the greater part of the valuable property stolen from the British Museum in June last has been traced to Belgium. The treasures consisted of many of the Layard contributions from Nimroud, and engraved in his "Monuments of Nineveh," and were of almost priceless value. The matter was placed in the hands of Superintendent Williamson, of Scotland-yard, who, we are informed, has received information by telegraph that the missing relics have been discovered at Brussels and seized by the Belgian police.
