Italian Sailor
Early on Sunday morning the body of a woman named Hinks was found in a house in Silverlock-street, Rotherhithe, with the throat cut in a manner which caused some persons to raise a Jack the Ripper scare. An Italian sailor named Cammorota, serving on board the ship Union, lying in the Surrey Commercial Docks, was brought up on Tuesday and charged with the murder at Greenwich Police-court. He is at present under remand.
