Melbourne Lady Writes to Winslow
"JACK THE RIPPER'S" IDENTITY.
[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH - COPYRIGHT.]
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Received July 23, at 9:20 a.m.
London, July 22.
Dr. Forbes Winslow publishes letters in support of his theory that "Jack the Ripper" was a native of Melbourne, educated at Scotch College there, and that he returned to Murrumbidgee, or Melbourne, after the murders in 1889, and is now in South Africa.
Received July 23, at 9:30 a.m.
London, July 22.
A Melbourne lady writes to Mr. Winslow: "Your tracking of "Jack the Ripper" frightened him from returning to Melbourne, and he worked his way to the Murrumbidgee before starting for England. He gained his surgical knowledge from a medical friend. His wife
died from natural causes. "The Ripper" confessed his London atrocities to the writer, who reported the matter to Scotland Yard authorities, but they disregarded the information thus given. "The Ripper" often attended St. Paul's in Melbourne."

Re: Melbourne Lady Writes to Winslow
Scotch College,Hawthorn is my old school.
I returned there as a guest teacher in their "Religion in Life" program for several years, before succumbing to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
I pledge my reputation that Jack the Ripper was not an Old Scotch boy.
We do have our own Masonic Lodge though!
Have swum in the Murrumbidgee River, at Wagga Wagga,NSW.
The spot is known as "The Beach",complete with sand 'n' all.
Very strong current midway across.
Great spot!
Incidentally,there was no St.Paul's,Melbourne between 1885 and 21 January,1891.
The old Church was demolished and a new one built.
It stands opposite Flinders Street Station,Melbourne's main city/suburban rail station.
