The Christopher Columbus Conspiracy
Conspiracy Theories are crazy, eh? Blow your mind, crazy, real.
Now I just found out that there was a Christopher Columbus Conspiracy. He was not an Italian and he wasn't just a simple navigator trying to find a Westerly route to China. As an Italian, I wouldn't say that if I didn't believe it was true.
Christopher Columbus was really Portuguese. He was also a spy, a member of a secret society, and the illegitimate son of royalty.
The Portuguese already knew about the Americas and Columbus was sent on a mission to trick Spain into looking West for a route to China, a route the knew was blocked, and thereby keep the Chinese Spice Trade in Portuguese hands.
He may also have been sent to pretend to discover America for Spain by landing on the Caribbean Islands because the Portuguese also wanted to lay claim to Brazil which they already knew existed and where they believed they could find gold, and wanted to divert the Spanish away from there as well.
Portugal had already found gold on the Gold Coast of Africa and the Amazon Coast, which had separated eons ago from the Gold Coast, was therefore a likely place to find more gold. The Portuguese had the Americas Demarcation Line moved west so they would have title to Brazil which they supposedly discovered in 1500 but likely already knew existed.
