Dutch Club In Bell Lane

A Holland club in Bell Lane, Spitalfields, in a quarter of East London, has just celebrated its eighth anniversary with some speeches and a concert. The presidency was assumed by Mr. Samuel Montagu, a member of Parliament, who took to politics. He wished to congratulate the meeting to voice that London is now under new legislation to manage its own affairs. The city would, as he assured, soon be absorbed into other parts of London. They had the turtle (the turtle is the symbol of the city) on their backs and they came out there now to state what they wanted done. Several members spoke of the club and also denied the allegation, to give out their opinion to the world, that in east London hatred between Jews and Christians existed.
