Krantz And The Nihilists
Philip Krantz, editor of Der Arbeiter Zeitung, and Dr. Julian Halpern, of 230 East Broadway, met Mrs. Ratner at the Barge office. She will go to Wichita, Kansas, where her parents are living. Mrs. Ratner says that she and her husband got twelve roubles each a month while in Siberia to live on, as an allowance from the government. She had only $5 when she landed. In her affidavit, Mrs. Ratner did not declare that she was a nihilist.
