Recently I made a statement to the effect that the identity of Jack the Ripper has never definitely been proved.
To my surprise I was told that "he" was a woman nurse.
Was "he"?
ANSWER: Sir Robert Anderson said that he was a maniac known to the police - but he was never caught and tried for his eight murders.
