Could Jack the Ripper be a hypochondriac and not a medical doctor?

Some serial killers like to pretend to be cops; maybe Jack liked to be a doctor.

Hypochondriacs are obsessed with medical knowledge. Couldn't Jack have acquired that basic knowledge he needed through his psychosis?

What do you think about hypochondria in relation to Jack the Ripper, and serial killers in general?

Strongly suspect Jack was an Aspie.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspberger

Driven in his chosen profession and excelling in it.

Not a good sleeper.

I do not think he was a serial killer.

He has used surgical skills to defend himself in threatening circumstances.

Five women were stressing him with blackmail threats at rather inconvenient times and circumstances.

By profession/trade then, you mean doctor and not serial killer?

Self-defence then?

They say hypochondria is epidemic among medical students. I guess it can make them paranoid also.

Medical Officer and lecturer....not lecherer as some suspect.Married for 30 odd years with children.Very respectable.
He was not an MD.

Combination of panic and self defence.

He had chalk in his pocket from preparing the start of term lesson on an enormous blackboard.

Goulston Street....he just couldn't resist.
Juwes had a double meaning.Police and Jews.
Nothing was Eddowes.Jack had conversed with police at Mitre Square.
Major Henry Smith knew him.

Paranoia is quite natural when several women aim to wreck your life financially or attempt to put you in jail for two years hard labour.

Abberline was brought in to ensure Jack was not caught.

If any files had not been destroyed long ago, sincerely doubt they will  ever be released.

There's a medical book with a dedication to your suspect with the following quote:

Difference of neurasthenia from hypochondriasis and
from hysteria. — Hypochondriasis is the belief in the patient's
mind, without cause, that he or she is the subject of some
serious bodily disease. A patient may have this delusion
without neurasthenia. Women with neurasthenia have quite
enough to complain of; and when they imagine disease that
does not exist, you will generally find that the belief is not
part of their disease, but has been put into their minds by
sympathetic but injudicious friends or mistaken doctors.
Hysteria, in the sense of nervous mimicries of disease, is not neurasthenia, although it may occur with it.

Neurasthenia is best known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome these days.
Mainly caused by varieties of "strep".
In my case it is Peptostreptococcus.
Know a bit about it after 32 years.

Nichols and Eddowes caught something similar in 1867.
Kate was Conway back then.

Her trek back from hop picking would have exhausted her.
Strongly suspect she arrived back in "Whitechapel" a few days before we are led to believe. There was a rumour that she stayed in stables in Dorset Street.
Would explain why she appeared so drunk, yet sobered up quite quickly. She covered a bit of ground on her return when not fully recovered.
CFS can put you in bed for a few hours. If you are tipsy and smell of booze,it appears you are quite drunk.

Something similar happened to me 22 years ago.
If I am beat,I do not sit down in a bar to recover.

Kate was probably exhausted and celebrating that night's planned payoff in Berner Street with the small change given her by Jack in good faith.
