THE INNOCENCE OF JEWS

Here is a clear example of the type of anti-Semitic propaganda that was being sold to the entire world just prior to the Second World War, which saw the world's worst catastrophic extermination of an entire race. Please note that the word JEHAD was once spelled without the letter "I" and had a letter "E" instead. That is because the word JEHAD is really an acronym for JEWHAD; which would translate as Moslem Holy War against the Jewish Race.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS.

Sir, - There was published in "The Press" a week or so ago a cable message which strangely has not evoked the interest and public discussion which might have been anticipated. In that message it was stated that leaders of Jewry, meeting about the New Year, near Geneva, had agreed to raise a fund of 500,000,000 pounds to fight and counteract the anti-Semitic policies of many governments in Europe. There would, it was added, be no difficulty in raising such a fund or in exercising vigorous measures against nations that proclaimed anti-Jewish policies. Assuming the news to be true, it suggests possibilities which may be fraught with the greatest dangers, not alone to Jewry itself, but to the peace of the whole world.
It is somewhat difficult for a Briton to understand the hatred of so many peoples for the Jewish race, or the reasons or motives that are the driving force behind the jehad (Jewhad) which has been declared against them in so many countries. It is not the understandable prejudice between peoples of different colours. Perhaps the explanation may be found in pondering the history of the Jews as written by themselves in the Bible. A study of that history will reveal Jewish characteristics which have steadily persisted from the days of Jacob, the father of the race. And many of these characteristics are anathema to most other people. Perhaps the most outstanding characteristic is an acquisitiveness which has made them a dispossessed and homeless people, the money masters of the world. To most people the typical Jew is Shylock. In every country where they have found a foothold they have set themselves, as their forefathers did in the time of Moses, to spoil the Egyptians, and have done it very successfully. Holding a dominant position in the money markets of the world, they have been able to exercise a tremendous influence on the destinies and policies of the world, on the issues of war and peace. Perhaps it is on that account so many countries are resolved to crush their domination and break away from the Jewish yoke by instituting trade boycotts. That way madness lies, and Jewry will suffer most. Civilised people will not take such a threat lying down. They will wrathfully resent it, and do not require to exhaust the resources of civilisation to respond to the challenge with disastrous results to the Jews. There is little fear of New Zealand's being involved, even if the threat is put into effect, but what would be the reaction of the people here, if it were established that the Jews had instituted a trade or financial boycott because our Government was pursuing a policy of which Jewry did not approve? -

So, in other words, once the Jews began seeing the emergence of anti-Jewish or anti-Semitic policies being instituted within the Government and met unilaterally to form a fund in order to save themselves, they were then, automatically accused of plotting to take over the world. This is exactly what we are seeing at this current time, which is, in reality, the emergence of Sharia Law, instigated by the Islamic World, exacted to exterminate the entire Jewish race, through fear, terror, lies, deception, propaganda, and hate.

News has been received from Afghanistan to the effect that the Ameer has ordered the impress of a large army, and has issued a proclamation calling upon his subjects to prepare for a Jehad, or Holy War, which is believed to be directed against the Russians.

This article explains how European countries, such as Germany, side with the Islamic community to condone Jehad. This article sounds like it was written by a Muslim, as his last sentence speaks of Christendom uniting in a crusade against the infidels. Only Muslims use the term "infidels." I know not one instance of any Christian using the term "infidel" against any other religion. Muslims have always spread propaganda through the media outlets prior to the issuance of Jehad.

Montgomery in the New York Nation, "is vitiated from the very first, as the doctors of Islam know that it is not a war in defence of their religion, but one waged in political combination with two Christian powers, and primarily to help one set of Christians against another. This legal aspect has already been presented in utterances of doctors of the law in various lands outside of Turkish control. And apart from legalistic criticism, the Jehad has fallen flat. I should be inclined to attribute the present antipathy to a Jehad to a change in the spirit of Islam. The religion of Mohammad has become humanised; a change has passed over it similar to that which makes it impossible for the Christendom of today to unite in a crusade against the infidels."

Muhammad's wife was named Safiyah Bint Huyeiy Ibn Akhtab, a Jewish woman who was captured when Muhammad's troops attacked Kheibar and brought her to the prophet as part of his share of the booty. What is interesting about this article is that the prophet Muhammad is recognized by Christians and Jews in their bibles as the false prophet, although he is not named. The Koran only mentions him as "the prophet" without any mention of his being "the false prophet."

The Mohammadans in Bengal are becoming excited over the trend of events in Europe. An enormous mass meeting was held in Calcutta, and it was declared that a conspiracy existed among the Christian Powers to rob the Moslems of their kingdoms. The cry of "La ilaha ill" Allah," which had once been heard outside the walls of Vienna, would be heard again to the uttermost parts of the world.
[This, in effect, means a threat of a Jehad, or holy war. Eighty years after Mohammad's death, Islam reigned supreme over Arabia, Syria, Persia, Egypt, the whole of the northern coast of Africa, and over Spain, and notwithstanding the subsequent strifes and divisions in the interior of this gigantic realm, it grew and grew outwardly; until the Crescent gleamed from the spires of St. Sophia at Constantinople in 1453, and the war cry "La ilaha ill Allah" resounded before the gates of Vienna, in 1529. From that time, however, the splendor and the power of Mohammedanism commenced to wane.]

This article is very aptly named, as any person who preaches a doctrine of war and Jehad IS a false prophet. Prophets of the one true God (Yahweh) must preach about love and peace. ANOTHER FALSE PROPHET.

Telegrams are to hand reporting that an Egyptian marabout is preaching a Jehad, or holy war, in the south-west of Egypt. The Times, in a dispatch on the subject, adds that the Egyptian Government has already dispatched a body of troops to the locality, to effect the capture of the marabout and his followers.

British refugees from Constaninople have arrived at Cairo, and report that the Sultan's proclamation of a Jehad ("Holy War") has fallen decidedly flat.
The outburst in the streets of Pera was artificial, and had been arranged by the secret police, who were provided with long poles to break the windows of the Allies' shops.

The situation in Palestine is causing grave concern in Berlin. The commanders have asked for 150,000 picked Germans to defend the Christian Churches, and the Jewish population

would rise against the Army.
The Turks are not progressing on the Egyptian frontier owing to the difficulty of assembling stores. Strong Turkish reinforcements are being brought from Erzerum.

CRUISER HAMIDIEH STRIKES A MINE.

London, December 7.

A report from Sebastopol, on the Black Sea, states that the Turkish protected cruiser Hamidieh struck a mine and was seriously damaged. She only regained Constantinople with difficulty.
[The Hamidieh (3800 tons) was completed in 1904. She carries two 6-inch, eight 4.7-inch, and a few small guns, and has a speed of about twenty knots.]

Mussolini considered himself the "Protector of Islam" and was even awarded the Sword of Islam. The Kaiser of Germany also was named a "Protector of Islam."

Italy's high-handed invasion of Albania has roused hostility among Moslems in many countries. From India, from Syria, from Morocco come reports of demonstrations and protests against the crushing of a country
in which followers of the Prophet are in the majority. There is no evidence that Signor Mussolini's arrogation to himself of the title "Protector of Islam" met with any substantial response from the people to whom
it was addressed. In fact the president of Al Azhar University, Cairo, speaking as the highest intellectual authority among those of the faith, is reported to have delcared that only a Moslem could be the Protector
of Islam. Now Signor Mussolini appears to have alienated important sections of the people whose favour he has been courting energetically, the Moslems of the Near East. The feeling would not need to spread far to offer
a fairly formidable barrier to his ambitions. Italy has a substantial number of Moslem subjects in Libya, Somaliland and Ethiopia. France is a much greater Moslem Power
with Morocco, Algeria and her other African possessions counted, while Britain numbers her citizens professing the same faith by many millions. But it would be a grave mistake to assume that the few demonstrations against
Italy mean that all of the 250,000,000 Moslems of the world necessarily feel the same way. There is little unity of purpose among the many sects. The division between some of them is almost as deep as between Moslem and Christian.
There is none today entitled to send out the call for a jehad or holy war. Yet, if Italy has done no more than outrage Moslem sentiment on the shores of the Mediterranean, she may have suffered a moral loss she can ill afford.

THE NAZI DILEMMA.

After alienating the sympathy and the respect of the civilised world by their cruel persecution of the Jews the Nazis have at last discovered a grievance against their victims by which a little of that sympathy may be restored.

Nazi headquarters are embarassed, stated a cable message on Saturday at the discovery that Robert Linderer, the author of the famous "Flag Song," the official anthem of the German Navy, was a Jew. The song, which the Kaiser loved,
is so patriotic and popular that it was included in the Nazi song book, which contains only the gems of German poetry.

Here is a shattering discovery for the Nazis to make after they have been engaged for four or five months in a desperate endeavor to save their country by eliminating the Jewish taint from the public service, from the schools and the universities,
from industry and commerce, and so far as possible from every honourable and money-making employment, and by reinforcing the legal disabilities with licensed murder and torture and terrorism. While Nazi patriotism has thus been purging the nation of the
corrupting influences of this dangerous people it has been poisoning itself by admitting a Jewish song to an anthology "which contains only the gems of German poetry," and by singing it on great occasions! The patriots who have been shooting at sight the
people that once glorified in the singing of the "Red Flag" have been honouring and propagating the more insidious anti-Germanism of a Semitic anthem masqeurading under the guise of patriotism.
It is not quite clear whether the claim that this shocking discovery enables the Nazis to make upon the sympathy of the world is to be regarded as increased or diminished by the fact that Imperial Germany had fallen into the same Hebrew trap. The similar fate
of their distinguished predecessors in whose steps they are in general so proud to follow may well supply some consolation, but in justice to the ex-Kaiser and his Old Guard it must be remembered that, with all their limitations, they never made such abject asses
of themselves as the Nazis have become under the spell of their anti-Semitic mania. The Kaiser talked very tall in those days about Germany's "manifest destiny" calling her seaward, and about the "salt of the earth," and on one occasion at least mistook himself for
the "Admiral of the Atlantic." But his father had denounced the Anti-Semitic movement of the early '80's as "a shame and a disgrace to Germany," and he himself was no vulgar Jew-baiter. It would therefore not have disconcerted him or anybody else if the "Flag Song" which
he particularly fancied and which became his navy's official anthem had been proved to be the work of a Jew.
The last of the Kaisers was proud and arrogant and vainglorious and in some ways small-minded, but he was not small enough for the mean and petty and cowardly and dirty work of persecution. He left that to those who have now bound Germany in tighter chains than he could ever
impose, and it is for them to reconcile their vile and undiscriminating anti-Jewish propaganda with the continued singing of a great national song by a member of the despised race. Will the Nazis abandon and suppress one of the most popular and striking of Germany's popular songs,
and one closely associated with the glories or alleged glories that they are eager to recapture? Or will they abate some of the virulence and the cruelty that have made the name of Germany to stink in the nostrils of the world as badly as it ever did in war-time? The second of these
courses would probably be Herr Hitler's choice, but from the very outset of this wretched campaign he seems to have been under the control of more impetuous firebrands like Goering and Rosenberg, and the present is not a favourable issue for the assertion of his independence.
What Dr. Rosenberg's attitude to this problem will be hardly admits of doubt. To the outside world he is chiefly known as the emissary who was sent to London to remove the bad impression that the Nazi Government had made, and who succeeded in making it far worse than it was before,
and as one of the most ardent pioneers of the movement which is to do for the Protestant Churches of Germany what has already been done for the Reichstag, the Press, the universities, the trade unions, and most other institutions. It was in the latter capacity that he was confronted with
the difficulty that, though a Christian Church must have a Bible, a Nazi Church could not tolerate a Jewish Bible. If he had been completely consistent, he must have cut the Bible right out, but he either did not know that, if you were to take all the Jewish handiwork out of the New Testament,
there would not be much left, or he decided to make some compromise as a Biblical reviser with his political convictions. The result at any rate was that he spared the New Testament, despite its strong Jewish taint, and despite the fact that large parts of it were unintelligible without the background
of the old Hebrew dispensation.
But with the Old Testament Dr. Rosenberg would tolerate no compromise. It was 100 per cent Jewish, and therefore 100 per cent of it had to go. There are some fine war songs in the Old Testament, and a few Hymns of Hate have found their way even into the Psalms of David. Dr. Rosenberg might have liked to make
an honourable exception of work of this kind, but it was all Jewish, and therefore it all must go. If an otherwise welcome Psalm of imprecation could not be spared on account of the Jewish taint, how can the "Flag Song" be allowed to stand? The hatred of the Jews which is the main
inspiration of the proposed Nazi revision of the Bible must surely be allowed to purge Germany's naval anthem from the faintest trace of suspicion of an evil stain.
