"JACK THE RIPPER" MURDER.
"Express" Correspondent.

NEW YORK, Tuesday, Aug. 28.

The discovery last night of a murder in the Bowery, which bears a striking analogy to the Whitechapel crimes, has caused great excitement here.
The victim, a woman of indifferent character was mutilated in the manner affected by "Jack the Ripper," and the only clue to her assassin is a blood-stained finger-print.
Her brother-in-law has been arrested, but the general impression is that he is innocent.
